Recently, I was able to shoot some portrait images for the owner of a successful Atlanta boutique who specializes in upscale women's clothes. Sabrina was easy to photograph as you can see but was patient with my perfectionist outlook on lighting and sometimes quirky ideas. Here are some from that session in Buckhead.
Every person has strengths and it's my job to play up those strengths. Sabrina has a few things going for her and 2 of them were her legs. It's always a tricky thing for photographing professional women to portray them as women but also very professional and not to objectify them. I used this chair and this pose to create a mood but also to accentuate her legs while she wears one of her boutique's own dresses. I felt the background of her store's rack of clothes was the right context. Every woman wants to feel and look her best which Sabrina seems very adept at accomplishing for her clients.
